PRO PLUS: Certificate in Employment Law & Practice

This module is an ideal introduction to employment
laws and practices in Malaysia. Key issues in
employment law will be discussed providing participants
an insight into not only what the necessary legal
requirements are but how to implement some of the
more critical HR policies and processes. All the relevant
legislation will be explained in detail including the
Employment Act 1955 and the Industrial Relations Act 1967
which are the two most important pieces of legislation
in this branch of the law. Some of the more crucial
areas for HR including retrenchment, domestic inquiries,
disciplinary process and wrongful dismissal, unfair
dismissal and constructive dismissal will also be
explored to provide a thorough understanding of these
delicate HR issues and remedies employees may claim.
